During the month of August, we are offering 4 family friendly, outdoor activity mornings between 10am – 12pm each Wednesday.

Join us this summer for a range of family activities in Orangery grounds!

Explore nature in our woodland walks, get messy, creative and most of all have fun. We have a variety of family activities each Wednesday in August from 10am – 12pm. Come down with a picnic and make sure you are ready to get creative.

All tickets cost £2.50 per person. Children under the age of 5 do not require a ticket. All of the proceeds made from these events go back into the continued development and future events at the Orangery.

Here is the running order of events;

4th August – Plant pot making – Plant wild seeds in a pot you have made, using only one piece of newspaper. Take it home and watch it grow!

11th August – Getting messy with clay – Using clay, create a tree spirit to watch over the Orangery garden.

18th August – Exploring ancient art forms – Hape Zome, the Japanese art form created by flower or leaf hammering.

25th August – Dream Catchers – Create a dream catcher out of natural materials to ensure a good night’s sleep.

But thats not all! As well as each activity there is a mud kitchen, den making space and even scavenger hunts in the Orangery grounds.
