Our year has come to an end a little earlier than planned. It’s been a difficult time for everyone and we have worked hard to continue to offer a service within changing restrictions. Since reopening in August we’ve been overwhelmed by the number of familiar and new faces who have been to see us at The Orangery.

We’ve had a range of events and activities during that time that have really allowed us to explore the flexibility and potential of the Orangery and gardens. So what have you missed? We started things off with our ‘Big Summer Chill Out’ with live music and street food in the grounds. This was an overwhelming success that really helped kickstart what was an action packed few months! We’ve had a wellbeing weekend, ‘eleven oranges’ exhibition, children’s scavenger hunts, a community exhibition, yoga classes, conferences, wedding photoshoots, cream teas and scones, Halloween at the Orangery and much more.

We would like to say the biggest thank-you to everyone who has supported us during these uncertain times. An extra special thank-you to the National heritage lottery fund for their continued support and trust over the last year. Despite the current situation we have had one of our most successful seasons ever.

We are at a crucial stage of our development as we transition from our founder charity ‘Friends of Ingestre Orangery’ to create an organisation which can be financially sustainable. We have used this period to test what our visitors want and to collect as much feedback as possible. As soon as lockdown restrictions allow, we will back with a programme of new events based on your comments. Spread the word, Staffordshire’s new and flexible events venue will be back! We hope you will join us on our journey.
