Its been a while we know..

We are delighted to announce that the Orangery will be opening its grounds to the public once again!

Whats the plan?

We are reopening the gardens from 12th April each Wednesday and Sunday 11am until 3pm. The grounds and gardens will be open to the public for walks, picnics and some brilliant family activities. For more information on upcoming events and activities make sure to check out our events section on our website.

We are beyond excited to welcome the public back to the Orangery after what has been a long lockdown for everyone.

Want to get involved?

The Orangery team and trustees would like to take this opportunity to invite volunteers old and new back to the Orangery for a range of exciting events and activities. Some of the things you can get involved with include, meeting and greeting visitors, supporting outdoor family activities and helping to maintain the gardens. As a charity dedicated to supporting the heritage and community of the local area, volunteers are part of what makes the Orangery so special. If you would like to get involved we would love to hear from you!

We have already welcomed two new volunteers to the team – Ellen and her mom, Diane. We can’t wait to see more of you here very soon!

Please contact or message us on social media to get involved.

Whats coming up?

Outdoor family activities each Sunday from 18th April to 30th May.

A fantastic art fair in partnership with Gallery at 12, when we reopen on Saturday 22nd May running to 31st May.

New projects planned for 2021 – subject to funding approval we will redevelop areas of the garden and resurface the Long Walk. We will be sharing news of the plans soon. This project is as a result of increased use of our outdoor space in the past 12 months and the phenomenal effort of volunteers in supporting events and carrying out surveys with visitors which have helped us to evidence the need for funding.

There is lots going on… and its about time! We cannot wait to welcome you all back to the Orangery.

Many thanks, The Orangery Team
